Soboku 8 Pan + Mixing Palette

(Soboku: rus·tic | \ ˈrə-stik)

Inspired by Japanese aesthetics, this palette is crafted from an alchemy of locally sourced minerals. The clay composition has been developed in our studio. Formed in a toasted-almond clay body with a white glaze, it features eight inclined wells and a generous mixing surface. 

High-fired for strength and durability, the glazed ceramic surface is effortless to clean, resistant to staining, and helps keep paints wet for longer — allowing for extended mixing and smoother colour transitions. Made for years of steady use, though like all ceramics, it should be handled with care, as impact from drops may cause breakage.

Each palette is handmade using traditional pottery methods and individually glazed. Every subtle mark is an imprint of the hands that shaped it; slight variations and imperfections are part of its character and should be embraced.
